On Sunday this weekend we drove down to Southern Illinois to do a trail called the Little Grand Canyon. It took us almost three ours to get there thanks to directions from Mark Radake, one of the guys in the office who lives near there. We found a quicker route back taking an hour off the travel time. Lesson learned, don't ask Radake for directions, guy could get lost in his own house. The picture is of me climbing down into the canyon . The walk starts higher up on chalk bluffs, follows these for a while then followed the creek in the picture down to Big Muddy River (quite a descriptive name), follwed it for a bit then back up another similar creek. The creek we went up had a fork in it, so looked at the trail guide that I got off the internet as I knew it mentioned the fork. Yep, it mentioned the fork but didn't say which way to go, so with a 50-50 chance we got it wrong, bloody typical. Amyway the scenery was great and worth the drive. Posted by Picasa

Good to see your still building your character up - I sincerely hope you left a few monuments for other travellers to enjoy.
