This weekend was spent in Indianapolis, Indiana, which is about a 4 hour drive to the east from Saint Louis. Had a quite night on the Friday night, not, me and Steve seem incapable of a quite night out, however it was a good night and saw some of the regulars in Jack Patrick's. Sally from work came through with us and we met her brother who stays in Indy and who put us up for the night. He gave us a little tour of Indy and it is a nice place. On Sunday we were at the grand prix. It was HOT, hitting 100F during the day, can't imagine how the driver and crew managed with all their gear on. Before the race we saw a band play in the infield area called Crew, they were really good. For the race we were seated at the start/finish line so saw the start and finish, funnily enough, and also the prizegiving. However, missed the crash just after the first corner which appeared to take out about 7 or 8 cars. This was luck for David Coulthard as it allow him to finish 7th after starting 17th on the grid.
