Weekend 12th-14th May

This Friday night we were out with Scott and Mark from the work to celebrate Scott getting married in a couple of weeks. We decided to introduce these American guys to pub golf. Steve made up the course with a 9 hole pub route and drinks to be had at each. It was a close run thing between us all, final results Phil -11, Mark 12 (bottled it on the last drink with a 1 under par 2 on a par 3), Steve -13, Scott - 14. The route was designed to finish us at our regulat haunt, Jack Patrick's. We got there about 10.30 and stayed their until closing time at 3am. Needless to say Saturday was not a productive day but did go out bowling at night for a few hours. On Sunday I took advantage of not having a hangover to do a 7 mile run in training for my next 10K at the end of the month. Weather wasn't very good and was pretty cold in the afternoon, which wasn't good as I went to the Cardinal's game with one of the girls from work. Luckily she had a spare ticket and nobody else to go with, probably because it was Mother's Day over here. Sunday night we watched braveheart which was good to see the scenery from home that I am missing. The photo is at hole 3, a pub called Al Hrabowsky's, run by a former Cardinal's player and we were on Smirnoff Ice, which is where me and Mark started edging away from the rest of the field with hole in one's.
