Independence day 2010

For Independence day we get a four day weekend with Friday and Monday off work. We took the camper down to the house near the lake as there was so much family visiting we needed the extra space.
We got there on the Friday night and got the camper set up. The drive was easy with the weather goood and Euan was no problem with only one stop to give him his bottle.

On the Saturday we went to the lake house and hung out with the family all day. We swam in the lake, eat a bunch of food and drank some beer. Euan was the centre of attention with Jen's cousins giving him lots of love. He loved it so much he didn't take his naps and stayed up late, and paid for it the next day.
On Sunday we went for a hike at Ha Ha Tonka state park in the morning. We had went there a few years ago and wanted to visit again as it was really nice. It was nice to get out hiking but had to make it short due to the heat. After that it was back to the lake. I went swimming again and it started raining heavy, which was actually quite nice and refreshing. Later in the afternoon Jen's Dad showed me how to use his boat so we can go down there on our own sometime and take the boat out, sweet!

After the weekend it was Euan's 4 month birthday and appointment with the doctor. He was 19lbs and 10oz and 26.5 inches long. That puts him in the 97%ile for weight and 90%ile for length, so still a big boy. We also gave him his first solid food, some oatmeal. It took him a little while to get it but looked like he enjoyed it. It was messy but lots of fun.
