Wedding update

This last week has been unbearable, our air conditioning has been out and the condo has been up in the 30s with high humidity. I had the technician round on Friday, luckily he said it could be fixed on Monday, unfortunately it is going to cost 3 thousand dollars, not exactly the best start to the weekend. I told Jen she was lucky I had already proposed otherwise it might not have happened.





Also over the last couple of weeks we have been looking into the wedding plans. Here is a little summary.





Date - June 20th 2009


Location - Jen's parents for both ceremony and reception


Style - Going to be a relatively quick and simple ceremony and the reception will be in a large tent in Jen's parents garden, basically just a family/friends get together with food, drink and some music. For those not used to American weddings, the booze is FREE. We'll probably set up some lawn games as well like washers ( details provided on request)


Weather - very hot, so anybody that can make it over be warned, no fancy suits or usual wedding attire required.


Size - fairly small wedding with close friends and family.


Honeymoon - we will be back in the UK for the honeymoon, so will hopefully see everyone then, will try to arrange some sort of gathering at my Dad's hotel in Rothes.


UK contingent - while it would be great if everyone I know in the UK could make it over, I know that most people won't be able to afford the flights over the way the prices are at the moment. Anyone that wants to come over let me know so I can plan the guest list.
