Hiking at Lake Wappapello and Sam A Baker

This weekend we headed south, partly for the weather and partly for the better scenery and also because Jen has a list of hikes to complete to get a free hydration pack and 2 of the ones she had yet to do were close together about 2 hours drive south of St Louis. We went to Lake Wappepello State Park first, it was a really nice hike, the trail was deserted apart from us and some deer, beautiful fall scenery. After that we went to Sam A Baker state park and did a shut-ins trail. Shut-ins are kind of like canyons but too small and not steep enough side slopes. That took up all our Saturday pretty much, watched a movie called Harold and Kumar go to Whitecastle, very funny. On Sunday I played football and then did some shopping, can tell it is coming up to xmas, very busy in town round the shopping centres.
