We took Euan for his second camping trip this weekend; back to Beaver Dam State Park. Unfortunately both of us forgot our cameras so we have no pictures.
The weather forecasters got it completely wrong. What was supposed to be a dry weekend until about Sunday evening ended up raining most of the time. We got there early on the Friday and were set up by about lunchtime. We then managed to have a campfire and some beer before the rains started sometime Friday night.
Saturday was mostly rainy during the day. Luckily we were not planning outside stuff because we took a road trip to a friend's house in Decatur who was having a house warming party. We went there for a little while and headed back in time to have our evening back at the campfire. We had a good campfire because we had a lot of firewood left and luckily the rain stopped for while so we didn't get too wet.
On Sunday we had a leisurely day and left the campground by about 3pm and managed to get home before the evening storms.
Euan had a good time but probably had too much excitement as was crabby on Sunday night. Next time we'll remember the cameras as he is getting a lot bigger and more able to do things.
