After spending my first week down in Texas I flew home for the weekend to see Jen. On Friday night we went down to the levee next to the arch on the edge of the Mississippi River where there was a free concert on. These are on Fridays and Saturdays for a large part of the summer. Friday nights artist was a woman call Ani DiFranco who is one of Jen's favorites, she really enjoyed the show, and I though she was not bad as well.
On Saturday we went to the Muny, which is an outdoor theatre, to see Peter Pan. Unfortunately the restaurant we went to before hand was not good and the service was so slow that we were late for the show. When we did get seated our view was blocked by the tall guy in front of us so we decided to leave after the second act and went home to watch a DVD and drink a couple of beers.
Back down to Texas again this week, hopefully get a chance to drive down to Galveston on the coast. Weather is better than last week's so far.
